Experts forecast a sweltering summer on a par with the record-breaking 2003 and 2006 scorchers
- May 2012
Back in April, we were promised a ‘barbecue Summer’… well, unless those barbecues were intended to be under water, I believe the forecasters were wrong. And today we were told that this will “probably continue until September” whereupon we’ll have a late Summer… well, we’ll see. It’s awful as we’re still getting the heat, so it’s so horribly muggy. We are once again in the warning area for rain, according to the Met Office. And with this dismal mood in mind, is there anything better to photograph than the tiny abandoned cemetery at the end of the street? I didn’t think so.

So on the way back from taking Bradley to school, I stopped off at the cemetery; which is by the main road and makes me look strange while I’m taking photos. I’m not usually one to get self concious when taking photos in public and usually forget about everyone, but when I’m next to where a bunch of cars have to stop to let other cars through… well, I get all too aware of people looking at me. So I took a grand total of 16 photos and crossed my fingers that I had a decent amount of good ones. And I reckon 10 out of 16 is a good haul.

I’d expect a few more rainy posts in the upcoming weeks.

Great shots. xx
This are very nice. I like the one where you just see the top of the tombstone in the bushes and I like the one that is leaning! Lots of personality.
Thank you very much :)
